Music has the power to entrance, enrapture and transform us. In certain instances it can verge upon a religious experience while drawing people together to celebrate in their shared passion. AWESOME is a freize of photographs portraying the emotions of fans worldwide from the front row of MGMT concerts. The songs and their magic elicit dramatic responses spontaneously, and this sense of freedom is electrifying. Be it in Portland, Oregon; Paris, France or Manchester, UK, to name just a few, the bonding with the band is visible and palpable. There is awe, adulation, and ecstasy written on faces of the lucky few closest to the stage.
Mark Lyon accompanied periodically the band during the period 2010 through 2018, covering tours highlighting Oracular Spectacular, Congratulations and MGMT.
